How To Use A Round Bale Slow Feeding Hay Net
Place your round bale on a pallet. Leave any baling twine or mesh on the bale for now so the bale doesn’t fall apart.

Open the hay net over the top of the bale.

Pull the hay net down the sides of the bale at least half way, and especially focus on stretching the net over the top of the bale.

Flip! Make the top of the bale, the bottom of the bale by rolling it over

Pull and stretch the net up over the top of the bale. You can start to close the net with the draw string to help.

But wait! Don’t close the net until you remove all the baling twine and/or mesh.

After all the field material has been removed, finish closing the net completely with the draw string, and tie an overhanded knot.
Tie a series of slip knots in the draw string to deal with the excess rope, and then tuck the resulting cord inside the net.
If the bale is where you need it, you’re done!
If not, place a chain around the bale and lift it with your loader. Be careful not to catch the net with your chain or loader to avoid damage to the net. Deliver it to your hungry horses. Be sure to place the bale on a pallet or two to avoid the waste that comes with ground contact.
